Shandon Birdnest

A fresher reason to come back.

We helped Shandon move beyond a conventional bird’s nest store by shaping a subscription-led business model and building the digital experience, campaigns and backend around it.

01 / The starting point

The challenge.

Shandon was competing in a category where many traditional businesses offered similar bird’s nest products in similar ways. Building another ordinary online shop would only place the brand beside more of the same. The real opportunity was to rethink how customers buy: give them a practical reason to commit for longer, enjoy freshly prepared products and avoid keeping a large quantity at home where expiry could become a concern.

02 / What we did

Our work.

  • Subscription strategy

We advised Shandon to turn a one-off purchase into an ongoing service. Customers could purchase a larger 100-bottle plan while receiving 10 freshly prepared bottles each week—making freshness, convenience and continuity part of the offer.

  • Website and customer journey

We translated the business idea into a customer-facing website that presents the brand, explains the subscription clearly and gives customers an easy path from discovering the products to taking the next step.

  • Monthly campaign system

We created focused promotional landing pages for Shandon’s monthly campaigns. Each promotion could have its own message and destination while the main website stayed clear, consistent and easy to understand.

  • Backend development

We built the supporting backend around the service, giving the business a practical foundation for managing its online operations, subscription-led offering and ongoing promotional activity.

  • Ongoing business direction

Our role extended beyond design and development. We worked with Shandon on how the digital platform, promotions and subscription idea could support a stronger position in a crowded traditional market.

03 / What changed

The outcome.

Shandon gained more than a new website. The business had a differentiated subscription offer, a clearer reason for customers to return, dedicated campaign pages for ongoing promotions and a backend built to support the model. Together, these pieces turned a traditional product into a more convenient, service-led customer experience.
